Hibiscus is part of the mallow family, it is some people use this also as a conditioner as well due to it's emollient properties. It cleans not by saponins but by it's natural astringent properties. It is a natural antioxident, carries Vitamin C, E, D and carotene,  carbohydrates (which soften the hair), emollient and chlorophyl( in the leaf). This as a shampoo does not foam, but has a great lather!
